Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement Airbnb's next-generation big data compute platform.
- Manage and operate the platform, enhancing its reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Produce high-quality, maintainable, and self-documenting code.
- Participate in code review processes.
- Contribute to open-source software and drive industry impact.
Requirements
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of professional experience in data infrastructure with a focus on big data technologies.
- Expert-level knowledge of big data technologies, including Spark, Trino, and AWS EMR.
- Strong programming abilities in Java, Scala, and SQL.
- Extensive experience in designing scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Familiarity with various database systems, including SQL and NoSQL.
- Proven track record of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
