Base Salary
$93k - $162k/yr
Responsibilities
- Co-design and build customer-focused AI features that address real problems for accounting professionals.
- Develop intelligent document processing, automated workflows, and AI-powered analytics using Python and modern frameworks.
- Deliver full-stack software applications and apply LLM, NLP, prompt engineering, and AI optimization techniques.
- Lead complex technical projects from inception through delivery across Wolters Kluwer’s Tax and Accounting product portfolio.
- Collaborate with customers, product managers, UX designers, researchers, and engineering teams to validate and scale AI solutions.
- Explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drive adoption of new technologies across teams.
- Work within Agile and XP practices including weekly sprints, TDD/BDD, pair programming, and rapid feedback cycles.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building software applications, with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with LLMs or AI systems, preferably including NLP.
- Full-stack development capabilities.
- At least 3 years of experience leading complex technical projects from inception to delivery.
- Experience with Agile/XP practices, TDD/BDD, and pair programming.
- Proficiency with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor and regular use of GenAI utilities such as ChatGPT or Claude.
- Working knowledge of LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs, vector databases, embeddings, prompt engineering, and AI optimization.
- Experience working in startup-like environments or innovation teams and collaborating across fast-paced, cross-functional groups.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drive technology adoption.
- Microsoft Azure AI-102 certification is highly desired.
- Preferred experience includes Azure AI services, advanced or multimodal AI frameworks, document processing, financial data analysis, B2B professional software, MLOps, AI governance, or cross-portfolio AI implementations.
