Responsibilities
- Build components of an AI First Responder agent integrating Datadog, Incident.io, and Slack, including agent tooling, evaluation harnesses, and integration workflows.
- Contribute to the migration away from Terraform Cloud by refactoring Terraform modules, cleaning up policies, and building migration scaffolding.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot across both workstreams.
- Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code.
- Collaborate with Platform teams in Bengaluru and Mountain View, present work and learnings, and shadow incident triage and on-call workflows without owning on-call duties.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from an Indian university.
- Experience with Python, Go, or another backend language through coursework, personal projects, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms, Docker or other containers, and Terraform, Kubernetes, or related infrastructure-as-code concepts.
- Comfort working in a Linux/CLI environment and with Git-based version control.
- Willingness to use AI-assisted development tools as part of the daily workflow.
- Ability to communicate progress, ask questions, document work clearly, take initiative, and iterate with feedback.
- Prior internship or project experience in platform engineering, infrastructure automation, or site reliability is preferred.
- Familiarity with Datadog, PagerDuty, or similar observability and incident-management tools is preferred.
- Experience calling OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar LLM APIs or building agent-style workflows is preferred.
- Exposure to Kubernetes or Helm is preferred.
