Responsibilities
- Understand finance workflows, systems, spreadsheets, close cycles, and judgment calls to identify processes suitable for autonomous automation.
- Design and build multi-step autonomous or semi-autonomous agents that retrieve data, reason over it, produce decision-ready outputs, and flag issues requiring human attention.
- Own data pipelines, integrations across ERP, CRM, and finance systems, orchestration logic, and the AI layer.
- Make build-versus-buy decisions and select appropriate code, existing tools, LLMs, or rules engines.
- Ship reliable production systems used for real financial decisions.
- Help define the organization’s AI-native finance approach.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building multi-step, tool-using autonomous or semi-autonomous AI agents that perform real work with minimal human supervision.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, computer science knowledge, and system design ability.
- Experience with LLM APIs, agentic frameworks, coding assistants such as Claude and Codex, prompt and context engineering, evaluation, and guardrails.
- Ability to understand unfamiliar business domains, clarify workflows, work with ambiguity, and develop software without fully specified requirements.
- Automation-oriented mindset and ability to distinguish reliable production systems from prototypes.
- Finance experience is not required.
