Responsibilities

  • Define and document software requirements from system functional specifications.
  • Develop software verification test cases and procedures based on software requirements.
  • Establish and maintain traceability matrices between specifications and test cases.
  • Execute test cases, record results, and create detailed defect reports.
  • Manage problem reports through resolution and communicate with development teams.
  • Collaborate with product and program managers, system engineers, validation teams, and development teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Contribute to project planning and scoping, including requirements and testing activities.
  • Support product owners and project managers in delivering quality software on time and within budget.
  • Suggest improvements to processes, tools, and methodologies and stay current with industry practices and technologies.

Requirements

  • A degree in software, IT, telecommunications, industrial engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Expertise in real-time and/or embedded software development, software requirements definition, and software verification.
  • More than three years of professional experience.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Preferred: knowledge of DO-178C and EFA software airworthiness certification processes.
  • Preferred: awareness of cybersecurity concepts and Common Criteria accreditation processes.
  • Preferred: expertise in C/C++ and/or Ada and low-level development.
  • Preferred: experience with SysML, UML, GPS, AdaMulti, Eclipse, VectorCast, and AdaTest95.
  • Ability to reconcile multiple perspectives across products, projects, and processes.
