Responsibilities
- Own the Firmware Requirements Specification for onboard safety-critical computing platforms in the Air Refueling domain.
- Own the Software Requirements Specification for onboard safety-critical computing platforms in the Air Refueling domain.
- Perform hardware, firmware, and software integration testing for onboard safety-critical computers.
- Develop DO-254 DAL A/B firmware and participate in verification through testing, reviews, and analysis.
- Support hardware certification activities with certification authorities to demonstrate compliance with RTCA DO-254 DAL A/B objectives.
- Participate in DO-178B/C DAL A/B software development and verification, including testing, reviews, and analysis.
- Support software certification activities with certification authorities to demonstrate compliance with RTCA DO-178B/C DAL A/B objectives.
- Perform firmware structural coverage analysis, static timing analysis, design constraint optimization, and software/hardware verification.
- Work with continuous integration environments using Git and Bitbucket.
- Identify compliance risks and act with integrity in support of company requirements.
Requirements
- High-level knowledge of VHDL, FPGAs, CPLDs, and C/C++ programming.
- High-level knowledge of UML, SysML, MATLAB/Simulink, and SCADE Suite/Display.
- Knowledge of DO-254 model-based design, including Simulink Requirements, HDL Coder, and HDL Verifier.
- High-level knowledge and demonstrated experience with hardware certification processes using RTCA DO-254 through DAL A/B.
- Knowledge of ModelSim and Xilinx ISim simulations, including register-transfer-level and post-layout simulation.
- Knowledge of Xilinx Integrated Logic Analyzer IP, firmware structural coverage analysis, static timing analysis, design constraints, and optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of static code analysis, including abstract interpretation-based techniques.
- Knowledge of RTCA DO-178B/C software certification processes through DAL A/B and software verification techniques.
- Knowledge of software structural coverage analysis, worst-case execution time analysis, formal reviews, integration testing, and hardware/software integration testing.
- Demonstrated experience with continuous integration environments, Git, and Bitbucket.
- Experience with Veristand, LabVIEW, MATLAB scripting, real-time operating systems, ARINC653, partitioning architectures, Python, and scripting is valued.
- Experience with Agile frameworks and hardware/software co-design for SoC is valued.
