Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance existing applications written in Delphi.
- Modernize and migrate legacy functionality to Java 17.
- Analyze legacy code, application architectures, and business logic.
- Design and implement new application features.
- Support replacement of the legacy application.
- Participate in implementation and integration projects.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot technical issues in existing applications.
- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and technical documentation.
- Contribute to discussions about future application architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience working with Java 17.
- Strong professional experience with Delphi.
- Ability to understand and work with existing or legacy application architectures.
- Experience in software development, maintenance, and application modernization.
- German language skills required for project and team communication.
- Experience with legacy application migration or modernization is preferred.
- Experience in enterprise application environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of HR, payroll, travel management, or related business processes is preferred.
- Experience with application integration and APIs is preferred.
- Familiarity with modern Java frameworks and development practices is preferred.
