Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and execution of major products, features, and engineering initiatives.
- Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
- Remain hands-on through coding, prototyping, code reviews, debugging, and production problem-solving.
- Make architecture decisions and technical trade-offs balancing speed, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Translate ambiguous product and technical problems into clear engineering solutions and execution plans.
- Set standards for code quality, system design, testing, security, observability, and production reliability.
- Review technical designs and code while providing actionable feedback and mentoring engineers.
- Identify technical risks, bottlenecks, and architectural weaknesses before they become larger problems.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and AI teams to ship high-quality products.
- Improve engineering tooling, development practices, and automation to increase team velocity.
- Monitor production systems, investigate incidents, resolve root causes, and continuously improve reliability.
Requirements
- Significant experience building and shipping production software systems.
- Deep expertise in one or more areas such as backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure.
- Strong system design, architecture, coding, debugging, and production engineering skills.
- Proven experience leading major engineering projects or providing technical leadership to other engineers.
- Ability to explain complex technical decisions, influence across teams, and connect engineering choices to customer and business outcomes.
- Strong judgment, ownership, product sense, and comfort working with ambiguity.
- Strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate across distributed international teams.
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate personally designed, built, shipped, or scaled serious products, platforms, or systems.
