Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage high-performance BigTable, Oracle, MySQL, and Cloud SQL database clusters.
- Architect and operate multi-cloud database solutions across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Build infrastructure-as-code frameworks with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and Packer.
- Optimize databases through indexing, partitioning, tuning, and query improvements.
- Automate schema deployment and management using GitOps and CI/CD workflows.
- Lead incident response and implement self-healing and database failover strategies.
- Develop observability and alerting systems using Grafana, Datadog, and Prometheus.
- Create Python-based automation and AI-driven database optimization tools.
- Ensure database security, compliance, documentation, reliability, and performance best practices.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and machine-learning teams on analytics and platform objectives.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with BigTable, Oracle, MySQL/MariaDB, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, BigQuery, and Kubernetes.
- Expertise with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and GitOps automation frameworks.
- Strong Python and SQL programming skills, with familiarity with Bash, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
- Linux system administration and distributed-systems troubleshooting skills.
- Strong knowledge of observability tools including Grafana, Datadog, and ELK.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational database architecture, performance, availability, and operations.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CLI, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Experience with AWS Lambda and API Gateway is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Aurora MySQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Cassandra, Redis/ElastiCache, or Elasticsearch/OpenSearch is preferred.
- Experience operating databases in large-scale, highly available AWS production environments is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills are required.
- AWS Solutions Architect certification or an equivalent AWS certification is preferred.
