Responsibilities
- Design, operate, and support infrastructure systems across single-tenant and multi-tenant models and AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Help engineering teams deploy services consistently across public cloud environments
- Strengthen and scale dbt Cloud’s multi-cloud infrastructure capabilities
- Improve developer experience through tooling, processes, automation, and self-service infrastructure
- Design automation that reduces manual toil and streamline infrastructure operations
- Implement infrastructure optimizations that reduce cloud spend while preserving reliability
- Collaborate with Architecture, Release Engineering, Product Engineering, and Security teams
- Participate in an on-call rotation, upgrade tooling, and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure, tools, and languages, especially AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, Python, and Bash
- Experience with declarative Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform, or willingness to learn with CloudFormation or ARM/Bicep experience
- Experience working in a multiple-cloud environment
- Extensive Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting experience
- Experience working asynchronously on a fully remote, distributed team, with excellent communication and writing skills
