AEM Developer

- Lead the design and development of reusable, customizable AEM components, templates, and complex workflows.
- Perform end-to-end AEM architecture work, including content modeling, Sling and OSGi development, and deployment management.
- Customize AEM functionality through APIs and extension points to meet business requirements.
- Implement AEM Schemas, metadata, and ACLs to support data integrity and secure content access.
- Develop responsive, front-end-heavy components aligned with Figma design systems and React or Angular frameworks.
- Integrate AEM with CRM, marketing tools, and external systems through REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Optimize AEM performance through ClientLibs management, Dispatcher configuration, caching, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Manage code repositories and version-control workflows using Git.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience with Adobe Experience Manager, including deep expertise in AEM 6.5 architecture, Sling, OSGi, and JCR.
- Strong Java development skills and experience with HTL, Sling Models, and AEM Core Components.
- Advanced HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript skills with experience in responsive design and React or Angular.
- Experience customizing AEM through APIs, extension points, templates, workflows, integrations, schemas, metadata, and ACLs.
- Hands-on experience with GraphQL, REST APIs, headless CMS architectures, and integrations with CRM and marketing platforms.
- Proficiency with Git and repository management, plus familiarity with AEM Dispatcher, deployment automation, and performance optimization.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum or Kanban, and documenting SDLC and architecture processes.
- Experience leading or mentoring junior developers, working in consulting, and managing multiple initiatives.
- Prior Life Sciences industry experience and connections are preferred.
