Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify complex Android software enhancements and new products.
- Develop next-generation Android SDKs, tools, and applications supporting payment transactions.
- Improve existing software performance and resolve difficult software issues.
- Design and implement features based on product requirements.
- Participate in project planning, estimation, code reviews, technical meetings, and solution development.
- Recommend technologies that improve engineering productivity.
- Protect company proprietary and confidential information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of Android experience building applications or libraries.
- At least 4 years of Kotlin experience.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose in a Compose-first, XML/View-free environment.
- Strong object-oriented programming, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, troubleshooting, debugging, and software architecture experience.
- Experience with RESTful services, JSON or XML, Git, large multi-module Android projects, and Dagger/Hilt dependency injection.
- Ability to design, plan, and implement product features while managing multiple initiatives.
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes Material Design 3, Kotlin Multiplatform, JUnit, Kotest, MockK or Mockito, hardware and peripheral communication, kiosk-mode Android devices, vendor SDK abstraction layers, AARs/JARs, private Maven repositories, Azure Pipelines, SonarQube, code coverage tooling, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Preferred understanding of data security, encryption handling, PCI/EMV compliance, data privacy, and related regulations.
