Responsibilities
- Participate in HCSC’s formal internship program and complete assigned project work and deliverables with mentor and manager guidance.
- Develop, test, and implement technical production automation solutions and database solutions using approved software and technologies.
- Research, analyze data and information, and develop recommendations supporting business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business and technical teams and support initiatives improving business and member outcomes.
- Provide customer support for internally developed applications and processes.
- Present the internship project, results, and recommendations to department leadership.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, and applicable compliance policies.
Requirements
- Be pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably as a rising senior majoring in computer science, information technology, or information management; other majors may be considered.
- Have a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Have knowledge or experience with C#, VB.NET, SQL, and Visual Basic.
- Demonstrate interpersonal, verbal, written communication, analytical, and practical PC skills, especially Excel, Word, and Access.
- Be available for the full 10-week program and have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
