Responsibilities
- Understand colleagues’ problems, prototype solutions, put them in users’ hands, and iterate quickly.
- Design and build tools for managing a multi-site robot fleet.
- Extend Fenestra, Monumental’s Notion-like internal data viewing and editing tool.
- Bring prototypes from operations and manufacturing teams into production while improving data models and code.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, control engineers, and robot operators on product experiences for complex problems.
- Write clean, idiomatic, typed production TypeScript and React, with some Rust.
- Debug memory leaks, crashes, and other production issues by investigating root causes.
- Deploy and maintain backend services supporting internal tools.
Requirements
- Experience building and shipping full-featured web applications with idiomatic TypeScript; React experience is a plus.
- Experience building products in a zero-to-one environment independently or in a small team, including through side projects, indie applications, or other demonstrable work.
- Strong UI and UX design judgment.
- Strong ownership and ability to drive projects from start to finish independently in a chaotic environment.
- Experience using coding agents while retaining ownership of AI-assisted features.
- Ability to learn new languages and tools quickly; Rust experience is a plus.
- Basic familiarity with Linux systems and using SSH to investigate issues on other machines.
