Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js.
- Develop secure RESTful APIs and integrations for internal systems, frontend applications, and third-party services.
- Contribute to technical design and architecture for scalable, distributed applications.
- Design data models, queries, and storage solutions using relational and NoSQL databases.
- Deploy, manage, monitor, and maintain cloud-based applications using AWS or similar platforms.
- Develop and integrate AI-powered features into software applications.
- Contribute to frontend development using React and Next.js when required.
- Own features and services throughout design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and improve backend performance, resilience, reliability, and observability.
- Write secure, maintainable, and testable code; participate in code reviews and improve engineering practices.
- Communicate technical solutions, progress, risks, and challenges to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience building and maintaining production-grade applications.
- Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js, RESTful APIs, and modern backend architecture.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance considerations.
- Experience deploying and managing applications in AWS or similar cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of system design, distributed applications, API security, application performance, testing, monitoring, and fault tolerance.
- Experience with React and Next.js and the ability to contribute across the full stack.
- Experience integrating AI technologies into software products or using AI tools to improve engineering productivity is highly valued.
- Fintech experience in Forex trading, financial technology, payment systems, or trading platforms is advantageous.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple projects, and deliver in a fast-paced agile environment.
