Responsibilities
- Lead teams and provide technical leadership on customer projects.
- Develop software architectures and high-quality solutions for multi-tiered modern applications.
- Collaborate with customer architects to agree technical designs and explain technical implications.
- Estimate effort and contribute to product planning, user story creation, and requirements definition.
- Own technical decisions and incorporate non-functional customer concerns into application designs.
- Manage, coach, and develop a small number of staff, including supporting performance and career development.
- Communicate technical designs through conversations, documentation, and presentations.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing activities and technology communities.
Requirements
- Experience with AWS, Node.js or JavaScript frameworks, TypeScript, Terraform, and AWS CDK.
- Experience delivering software designs for multi-tiered modern applications.
- Experience owning the technical direction of a software product or project, including architecture, estimation, product planning, and user story or requirements creation.
- Experience incorporating non-functional requirements into application design.
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including SaaS and PaaS offerings.
- Ability to communicate technical designs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to make effective decisions in a fast-moving delivery environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and develop junior team members and the wider community.
- Experience with multiple programming languages and data storage technologies is desirable.
- Experience managing others, setting objectives, giving feedback, and leading performance reviews is desirable.
- Participation in knowledge-sharing activities and technology communities is desirable.
