Base Salary
$230k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product, Design, Data Science, and end users to build scalable solutions to user and business problems.
- Own projects end-to-end from ideation and architecture through implementation, monitoring, observability, on-call, and experiment analysis.
- Design complex systems connecting digital commerce with physical fulfillment operations.
- Set technical direction for Fulfillment and influence roadmaps across partner teams.
- Use AI thoughtfully in engineering workflows while maintaining independent judgment about correctness and risk.
- Raise engineering quality through coding, design and code reviews, architectural documentation, mentorship, and improved operational practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of full-time software engineering experience, including building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
- Experience leading substantial cross-team technical initiatives, defining problems, aligning partners, and shipping solutions through ambiguity.
- Strong product instincts and the ability to prioritize user outcomes.
- Experience modeling complex technical domains and building abstractions that accelerate product development.
- Ability to own and define ambiguous areas, work across multiple workstreams, and remain hands-on with engineering.
- Experience mentoring engineers and improving designs, code, and operational practices.
- Preferred experience includes rideshare coordination, food delivery, marketplace fulfillment, trust and risk operations, order tracking, exception-handling systems, marketplaces, logistics, shipping, fulfillment, or payments.
