Base Salary
$170k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own features end to end, from customer conversations and data modeling through production delivery and advisor-facing interfaces.
- Build agentic product surfaces, including chat affordances, ambient background agents, and tools callable by models.
- Build features spanning document ingestion, knowledge graph generation, tax and wealth transfer modeling, multiplayer collaboration, chat agents, complex diagram-based UI, and advisory and trust administration workflows.
- Use and improve established conventions for data modeling, GraphQL, and component architecture.
- Learn the estate planning domain by collaborating with wealth strategists, advisors, attorneys, and government officials.
- Work closely with experienced product designers to translate tax and legal concepts into usable advisor workflows.
- Ship small, reviewable changes to production frequently through the team's continuous integration process.
- Talk with customers and take ownership of product outcomes.
Requirements
- Four or more years of software engineering experience at companies with strong engineering practices, ideally including startups.
- Comfort working across the stack, including data modeling in Postgres, product functionality in Go, and interfaces in React and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with cloud web applications and complex data models.
- Familiarity with React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Apollo, Playwright, Go, Postgres, or Temporal is helpful, though the company is not dogmatic about specific technologies.
- Product-minded approach, including gathering context, observing customers use the application, and forming and sharing opinions about customer needs.
- Strong communication skills, especially in a partially remote team.
