Responsibilities
- Own the enterprise automation architecture and roadmap for C#-based API, UI, integration, and workflow testing.
- Design modular frameworks with reusable libraries for service clients, test data, parallel execution, retries, reporting, and environment management.
- Define coding standards, branching and review practices, framework governance, versioning, documentation, and contribution models.
- Establish pull-request validation, smoke testing, regression, release qualification, and automated quality-gate strategies.
- Guide teams on testability, coverage modeling, risk-based test selection, and reduction of flaky or low-value tests.
- Lead technical reviews, proofs of concept, framework migrations, tool evaluations, and resolution of cross-service failures.
- Define dashboards and metrics for coverage, reliability, execution time, defect containment, failure causes, and productivity gains.
- Partner with architecture, software, DevOps, cybersecurity, systems, and verification leaders to embed quality throughout delivery.
- Mentor automation engineers and build engineering capability through reusable assets, coaching, and technical communities of practice.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience defining automation architecture, technical roadmaps, and engineering standards.
- Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong systems-oriented quality engineering experience, including understanding interconnected products, services, and components and decomposing requirements into holistic use cases.
- Advanced hands-on C# and .NET skills with knowledge of software design principles, dependency injection, concurrency, asynchronous execution, and extensible architecture.
- Hands-on experience architecting and developing API automation frameworks using RestSharp.
- Strong hands-on experience with NUnit, Selenium, or Playwright for test automation.
- Working knowledge of GraphQL and experience validating GraphQL APIs.
- Strong understanding of test data management, reusable data provisioning, Kubernetes, and containerized test environments.
- Experience with communication protocols, particularly SIP, and exposure to SIPp for protocol-level testing.
- Expertise in API contracts, distributed systems, microservices, event-driven integrations, databases, authentication, authorization, and service virtualization.
- Deep experience with Git, CI/CD architecture, parallel execution, automated reporting, and quality gates.
- Proven ability to improve framework reliability, diagnose flaky tests, optimize execution, and drive adoption across multiple teams.
- Strong technical leadership, stakeholder communication, mentoring, and architecture decision-making skills.
- Preferred experience includes Allure, Postman, Azure, Docker, infrastructure-as-code, message brokers, observability platforms, cloud-native test environments, healthcare platforms, HL7/FHIR integrations, connected devices, and regulated software.
- Preferred knowledge includes SIP infrastructure and media components, Azure services, Terraform, KEDA, container security tooling, regulated healthcare software standards, Jira, Jama, validated toolchains, and formal release-readiness reviews.
- Experience leading a team of automation testers toward a common goal is preferred.
