Responsibilities
- Improve the full lifecycle of services from design and deployment through operation and refinement.
- Analyze ITSM activities and communicate operational gaps and resiliency concerns to development teams.
- Support pre-launch activities including system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
- Monitor availability, latency, and overall system health after services go live.
- Build automation and scale systems sustainably while improving reliability and delivery velocity.
- Participate in incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.
- Diagnose production events across the technology stack and optimize mean time to recover.
- Collaborate with global teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
- Share knowledge and mentor junior resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6–10 years of hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux systems, scripting and automation, Oracle and SQL databases, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with one or more of C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, platforms, and infrastructure components.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence use cases and implementation.
- Understanding of ITSM processes, including Change and Problem Management.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and operate independently with minimal supervision.
