Responsibilities
- Improve the full service lifecycle from system design and inception through deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Analyze platform ITSM activities and provide development teams with feedback on operational gaps and resiliency concerns.
- Support pre-launch services through system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
- Monitor live services for availability, latency, and overall system health.
- Scale systems through automation and drive changes that improve reliability and delivery velocity.
- Practice incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.
- Connect platform technology components during production events to optimize mean time to recover.
- Collaborate with global teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
- Share knowledge and mentor junior resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6–10 years of hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux systems, scripting and automation, Oracle and SQL databases, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred experience with one or more of C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, platforms, and infrastructure components.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence use cases and implementation.
- Solid understanding of ITSM processes, including Change and Problem Management.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, communication, collaboration, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and work independently with minimal supervision.
