Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the target architecture for ServiceNow IT Request Fulfillment, Service Catalog, approval flows, fulfillment orchestration, notifications, portals, integrations, and platform services.
- Translate business and process requirements into solution designs, architecture decisions, technical specifications, reusable patterns, and implementation guardrails.
- Define automation frameworks for catalog items, approvals, fulfillment tasks, verifications, notifications, and integrations.
- Guide and review server-side and client-side development, configuration, data models, security, integrations, performance, and implementation quality.
- Lead integration design covering interface contracts, authentication, error handling, monitoring, observability, and cross-system dependencies.
- Ensure security, privacy, compliance, governance, resilience, upgradeability, and maintainability in technical decisions.
- Support root cause analysis and resolution of complex production issues across Request Fulfillment and Service Catalog solutions.
- Use and evaluate AI technologies, including ServiceNow AI capabilities, to improve design, engineering quality, documentation, automation, and team efficiency.
- Provide architectural direction, mentoring, code and design reviews, and technical guidance within the DevOps product team while remaining hands-on.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional ServiceNow experience, including several years in solution architecture, technical architecture, or lead developer responsibility for complex enterprise implementations.
- Demonstrated hands-on architecture and delivery experience with Service Catalog and IT Request Fulfillment, including catalog data models, request and task lifecycles, approvals, fulfillment orchestration, notifications, and portal experience.
- Advanced ServiceNow development skills with JavaScript, Glide APIs, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, events, Scheduled Jobs, and object-oriented design principles.
- Strong practical experience with Flow Designer, reusable subflows and actions, IntegrationHub, and maintainable enterprise automation patterns.
- Proven integration architecture and implementation experience using REST, SOAP, Import Sets, MID Server, authentication mechanisms, and PowerShell.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, supportable, upgradeable solutions that remain close to standard ServiceNow capabilities.
- Strong understanding of platform security, ACLs, role-based access, data protection, governance, performance, error handling, and operational monitoring.
- Experience producing solution designs, integration designs, data flows, decision records, non-functional requirements, and implementation guardrails.
- Professional English communication skills and experience working with international, cross-functional Agile, Scrum, and DevOps teams.
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- ServiceNow CSA and CAD certifications are expected; CTA, progress toward CTA, comparable architecture expertise, CIS certifications, and ITIL Foundation are advantageous or preferred.
- Experience with Employee Center Pro or Service Portal, CMDB/CSDM concepts, data migration, platform upgrades, enterprise reporting, implementation leadership, or distributed delivery coordination is preferred or advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of AI technologies and ServiceNow AI capabilities, including NowAssist.
