Base Salary
$209k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and product leaders to deliver cloud-based solutions and define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy.
- Mentor engineering community members and senior engineers while driving professional development within technical teams.
- Lead architectural design reviews, influence enterprise-wide technical standards, and establish coding standards and design patterns.
- Implement observability and reliability practices at scale and use observability to optimize distributed-system performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 9 or more years coding in multiple listed languages, and extensive experience with open-source frameworks, frontend frameworks, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred experience includes troubleshooting cloud environments, mentoring senior engineers, leading architectural reviews, establishing coding standards, implementing observability and reliability practices, and influencing technology strategy.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion, cross-functional engineering efforts, or large-scale technical initiatives is preferred.
