Base Salary
$179k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers working on distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Build robust cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Use programming languages, databases, container orchestration, and AWS services to develop software.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, and enhance system performance.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices and influence long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- A master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes 7+ years coding in multiple listed languages, database systems, cloud platforms, open source frameworks, front-end frameworks, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, and distributed systems performance optimization.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, cross-functional engineering initiatives, coding standards, design patterns, and mentoring engineers.
