Responsibilities
- Own platform-wide architecture across backend services and infrastructure.
- Lead technical scoping and design for cross-cutting initiatives including EHR integrations, multi-tenancy, and scaling.
- Improve reliability, scalability, observability, and operational excellence across services.
- Drive developer experience, internal tooling, engineering standards, and best practices.
- Lead high-impact system redesigns and architectural improvements.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and scope and architect work for other engineers.
- Set the technical roadmap alongside product and organizational leadership.
Requirements
- Require 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with principal-level impact in at least one prior role.
- Require experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
- Require a strong backend engineering background and comfort working across the full stack.
- Require excellent architectural judgment and the ability to translate complex real-world problems into clean technical designs.
- Require the ability to own systems end-to-end from design through production operations.
- Healthcare, EHR integration, compliance-heavy environments, health technology, HIPAA-compliant systems, multi-tenant SaaS, clinical rules engines, decision support systems, and technical public speaking or writing are preferred or advantageous.
