Base Salary
$160k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and scale automated software-in-the-loop testing pipelines for daily regression testing and production release gates.
- Generate high-fidelity synthetic scenarios covering urban and suburban routes, edge cases, adverse weather, and severe traffic interactions using OpenSCENARIO and ASAM standards.
- Extract disengagements and other events from fleet logs and transform them into parametric simulation test suites.
- Verify perception, planning, controls, and map-execution software against safety metrics and behavioral assertions.
- Assess simulator realism, sensor physics models, and vehicle-dynamics fidelity against real-world data.
- Develop Grafana, SQL, and Python dashboards tracking pass rates, safety violations, and coverage across simulation runs.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or Data Science.
- At least 5 years of experience in SIL testing, virtual simulation validation, or automated software QA for autonomous vehicles or complex robotics.
- Exceptional proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Deep experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud compute clusters on AWS or GCP.
- Strong working knowledge of simulation tools and experience with continuous integration pipelines.
- Preferred: experience validating autonomous planning and control algorithms for middle-mile or commercial vehicles.
- Preferred: background in dynamic scene generation, procedural generation, or synthetic data validation.
- Preferred: proficiency in statistical safety verification and coverage-based testing methodologies.
