Responsibilities
- Define and review requirements, PRDs, architectures, designs, and technical documentation for Renesas MCU embedded software.
- Translate market, product, marketing, and customer requirements into software requirements and implementable technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and technically lead BSP, device drivers, RTOS integrations, networking and connectivity middleware, OTA/FOTA, and sample applications.
- Manage traceability across requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, and release deliverables using tools such as Jira.
- Lead technical discussions with domestic and international development teams, partners, and customers, resolving technical issues and aligning requirements.
- Drive design reviews and technical decisions focused on implementation quality, extensibility, reusability, and maintainability.
- Promote development efficiency and quality through CI/CD, test automation, and development-process standardization.
- Improve the usability of software and the development experience for developers and customers.
Requirements
- Professional experience developing embedded software using C.
- Experience developing MCU/SoC BSPs, device drivers, RTOS software, middleware, communication stacks, or related components.
- Practical experience in software requirements definition, specification design, architecture design, and design reviews.
- Experience analyzing defects, identifying root causes, planning corrective actions, and improving quality.
- Ability to organize technical issues and build consensus with domestic and international stakeholders.
- Experience creating technical documentation and managing progress, issues, and releases.
- Ability to independently learn new technical areas and apply them to product development.
- Preferred experience with FreeRTOS, AzureRTOS (ThreadX), or ZephyrRTOS development, porting, or integration.
- Preferred experience with Ethernet, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, MQTT, TLS, bootloaders, startup-time optimization, memory layouts, or multi-OS/coexistence designs.
- Preferred experience in automotive, edge AI, or industrial embedded software development, as well as customer or overseas-partner technical discussions and seminars.
- Preferred experience with Python, Shell, test automation, development-process standardization, small-team technical leadership, project management, or AI-assisted coding, review, and testing.
