Responsibilities
- Define and review software requirements, PRDs, architecture, design documents, and technical specifications for Renesas MCU embedded software.
- Design, develop, and technically lead BSPs, device drivers, RTOS integrations, networking and connectivity middleware, OTA/FOTA, and sample applications.
- Manage traceability between customer requirements, software architecture, implementation, testing, and release deliverables using Jira and similar tools.
- Lead technical discussions with domestic and international development teams, partners, and customers, resolving technical issues and aligning requirements.
- Conduct design reviews and make technical decisions focused on implementation quality, scalability, reusability, and maintainability.
- Promote CI/CD, test automation, and development-process standardization to improve development efficiency and quality.
- Improve the usability of software and the development experience for developers and customers.
Requirements
- Professional experience developing embedded software in C.
- Experience developing at least one MCU/SoC software area such as BSPs, device drivers, RTOS, middleware, or communication stacks.
- Practical experience with software requirements definition, specification design, architecture design, and design reviews.
- Experience analyzing defects, identifying root causes, proposing countermeasures, and improving quality.
- Ability to organize technical issues and build consensus with domestic and international stakeholders.
- Practical experience creating technical documentation, managing progress and issues, and supporting releases.
- Ability to independently learn new technical domains and apply them to product development.
- Preferred experience with FreeRTOS, AzureRTOS (ThreadX), ZephyrRTOS, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, MQTT, TLS, bootloaders, startup-time optimization, memory layouts, multi-OS/coexistence designs, or embedded software for automotive, edge AI, or industrial equipment.
- Preferred experience with customer or overseas-partner technical discussions, requirements coordination, technical seminars, Python, CI/CD, test automation, process standardization, small-team technical leadership, project management, or AI-assisted code development, review, and testing.
