Responsibilities
- Design and develop a high-performance data platform capable of processing large volumes of data in real time.
- Build product features end to end, including research, implementation, and maintenance.
- Improve the performance and reliability of new and existing features.
- Lead initiatives that could have a strong impact on Formal.
- Design scalable services as the company grows and processes more traffic.
Requirements
- Experience building data-intensive software platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Golang and its ecosystem.
- Experience with streaming data processing frameworks such as Apache Kafka and Google Pub/Sub.
- Experience debugging and optimizing complex production systems.
- Experience working in databases, operating systems, networking, or other systems-level environments.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes.
- Experience with infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform.
- Strong production debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Preferred: experience in a fast-growing startup environment.
- Preferred: experience using Temporal and Render.
- Preferred: extensive knowledge of datastore protocols including Postgres, S3, and Kafka.
- Preferred: familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
