Responsibilities
- Act as the Fastly architect for assigned customers, representing their needs within the company.
- Develop technical relationships to understand customer infrastructure and challenges.
- Implement Fastly products and document customer configurations for troubleshooting.
- Recommend improvements to customer implementations of Fastly's technology.
- Identify opportunities to introduce new Fastly products that meet customer needs.
- Collaborate internally to create customer strategies and assist with support requests.
- Participate in customer meetings, including cadence calls and Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Track and report on the health of customer accounts to leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Web Development, or similar roles.
- Hands-on experience in addressing customer issues and requests.
- Understanding of networking concepts such as BGP and internet routing.
- Familiarity with HTTP/s, TCP, TLS, DNS, and related technologies.
- Experience with Linux and scripting languages like Python and Ruby.
- Knowledge of cloud architectures and bare metal deployments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings as needed.
- Flexibility to adjust work hours based on customer needs.
