Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services for trading operations.
- Collaborate with traders, product managers, and engineers to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Implement and optimize high-performance APIs, microservices, and data-processing pipelines.
- Apply best practices for code quality, testing, deployment, security, reliability, and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot technical issues across the full stack and research technologies to improve performance and productivity.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative, innovative team culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least four years of proven experience as a full-stack engineer, preferably in trading, finance, or similarly complex environments.
- Strong proficiency with modern web frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java 17+.
- Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs; GraphQL API experience is a plus.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including highly available distributed NoSQL data storage platforms such as Ignite.
- Understanding of software development life cycle practices, agile methodologies, engineering best practices, and enterprise design patterns.
- Preferred qualifications include trading or financial-services technology experience, knowledge of trading protocols and low-latency systems, familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools, and experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot web services.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, collaboration, and project-delivery skills.
