
Senior Firmware Engineer, Manufacturing Test

Responsibilities
- Develop low-level firmware and software for microcontroller platforms, robots, and commercial off-the-shelf data-acquisition tools.
- Build automated host/client verification, device-side validation, test execution, failure analysis, and production-line test capabilities.
- Develop embedded Linux, NIX, bare-metal, and RTOS-based features.
- Debug issues across electrical, firmware, and software boundaries and document processes for production staff.
- Participate in design-for-test and design-for-manufacturing reviews with electrical engineering and product firmware teams.
- Improve test automation, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics.
Requirements
- BS or MS in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong C programming ability for embedded systems.
- Experience integrating microcontrollers with analog and digital sensors and developing firmware in bare-metal, RTOS, and embedded Linux environments.
- Understanding of coding best practices, board bring-up, and debugging.
- Familiarity with USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, and similar bus protocols.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred: 10+ years of experience, experience with ARM, AVR, MSP430, or PIC microcontroller cores, embedded Linux deployment, JTAG and SWD, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, FFT, Bode analysis, and control loops.
