Base Salary
$200k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain high-volume data pipelines and databases.
- Create and manage ETLs that power automated abuse prevention.
- Scale and implement backend systems for internal tools.
- Integrate safety systems across Bluesky products in collaboration with engineers across the organization.
- Develop monitoring and observability solutions for data infrastructure.
Requirements
- 10+ years of extensive experience with Go.
- Strong programming and software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience building scalable backend systems handling 1M+ operations per second.
- Familiarity with the upper limits of operating systems, networks, and storage.
- Significant experience with database systems such as Postgres, MySQL, and SQLite.
- Experience with data stores such as Scylla, Cassandra, Redis, and ClickHouse.
- Experience with search systems such as Elasticsearch.
- Previous experience working on large-scale infrastructure for social applications.
- Ability to work effectively on small, fast-moving teams.
