Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for AWS infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment workflows.
- Validate AWS infrastructure changes involving VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT gateways, IAM, security groups, load balancers, and related services.
- Develop automated tests for Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar infrastructure-as-code implementations.
- Integrate infrastructure, configuration, and deployment validation into CI/CD pipelines before production release.
- Test containerized and Kubernetes-based environments for functionality, resilience, configuration, and security.
- Validate infrastructure hardening and security controls against STIG, CIS, and applicable compliance requirements.
- Develop automated integration, regression, smoke, performance, and failure-recovery tests.
- Verify that Keeper applications and services continue operating correctly as infrastructure and deployment configurations change.
- Analyze logs, metrics, and telemetry to troubleshoot failures and create reproducible defect reports.
- Partner with DevOps and Platform Engineering to identify test gaps, improve infrastructure testability, and automate repetitive validation.
- Produce repeatable test results and technical evidence to support audit readiness and compliance validation.
- Use Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI-assisted tools to improve testing, debugging, root-cause analysis, documentation, and workflow efficiency.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as an SDET, Software Engineer in Test, Infrastructure Test Engineer, or similar automation-focused engineering role.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT gateways, security groups, and IAM.
- Experience testing or validating infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar technologies.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, Go, or another language used for test automation and infrastructure validation.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure testing, configuration validation, integration testing, and failure-recovery scenarios.
- Experience troubleshooting cloud and infrastructure issues with logs, metrics, and observability platforms such as Datadog.
- Familiarity with security hardening and compliance requirements including CIS benchmarks, DISA STIGs, FedRAMP, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
- Understanding of Git-based development workflows and automated software delivery practices.
- Ability to collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, Security, and Compliance teams on complex technical issues.
- Ability and willingness to use AI-assisted tools for test automation, debugging, technical analysis, and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with FedRAMP High, DoD, IL5, regulated cloud environments, Terratest, pytest, Kubernetes infrastructure, container security, deployment resilience, vulnerability scanning, compliance drift detection, SIEM integrations, AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, secrets management, IAM, PAM, or zero-trust security architectures.
