Senior Infrastructure Test Engineer, DevOps
Keeper SecurityResponsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for AWS infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment workflows
- Validate AWS networking and infrastructure components including VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT gateways, IAM, security groups, and load balancers
- Develop automated tests for Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and similar infrastructure-as-code implementations
- Integrate infrastructure validation into CI/CD pipelines before production release
- Test containerized and Kubernetes-based environments for functionality, resilience, configuration, and security
- Validate infrastructure hardening and security controls against STIG, CIS, and compliance requirements
- Develop automated integration, regression, smoke, performance, and failure-recovery tests
- Verify that Keeper applications and services continue operating correctly as infrastructure and deployment configurations change
- Analyze logs, metrics, and telemetry to troubleshoot failures and produce reproducible defect reports
- Partner with DevOps and Platform Engineering teams to improve test coverage and automate repetitive validation workflows
- Produce repeatable test results and technical evidence to support audit readiness and compliance validation
- Use Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI-assisted tools to improve test development, debugging, root-cause analysis, documentation, and workflow efficiency
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as an SDET, Software Engineer in Test, Infrastructure Test Engineer, or similar automation-focused engineer
- Hands-on AWS infrastructure and networking experience, including VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT gateways, security groups, and IAM
- Experience testing or validating infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar technologies
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, Go, or another language used for test automation and infrastructure validation
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of infrastructure testing, configuration validation, integration testing, and failure-recovery scenarios
- Experience troubleshooting cloud and infrastructure issues using logs, metrics, and observability platforms such as Datadog
- Familiarity with security hardening and compliance requirements such as CIS benchmarks, DISA STIGs, FedRAMP, SOC 2, or ISO 27001
- Understanding of Git-based development workflows and automated software delivery practices
- Ability to collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, Security, and Compliance teams on complex technical issues
- Ability and willingness to use AI-assisted tools for test automation, debugging, technical analysis, and documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Preferred: experience with FedRAMP High, DoD, IL5, or similarly regulated cloud environments
- Preferred: experience with Terratest, pytest, or similar automated infrastructure testing frameworks
- Preferred: experience testing Kubernetes infrastructure, container security, or deployment resilience
- Preferred: familiarity with vulnerability scanning, compliance drift detection, SIEM integrations, AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, secrets management, IAM, PAM, or zero-trust security architectures
