Base Salary
$102k - $147k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full stack web applications using React, TypeScript, Java services, REST APIs, and database technologies.
- Design, deploy, and support complex software applications across front-end, backend, and data layers.
- Manage feature and project execution, priorities, deadlines, and delivery quality.
- Participate in architectural design and design reviews focused on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Review code, provide technical feedback, and uphold standards for observability, maintainability, and automated testing.
- Build and automate unit, integration, API, and end-to-end tests.
- Monitor application and service health, resolve issues, and use telemetry to improve performance and prevent recurring incidents.
- Own software delivery from requirements and design through development, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
- Document features and fixes, contribute to training materials, and share technical knowledge.
- Collaborate with engineering, Product Management, UX, and external teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least six years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience building full stack web applications.
- Strong proficiency in Java, React, TypeScript, and SQL.
- Experience developing REST APIs and integrating them with front-end applications.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Extensive knowledge of software development practices and design patterns.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Claude, Copilot, or Windsurf.
- Proficiency with GitHub and Jira.
- Understanding of cloud technologies and DevOps principles.
- Experience with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using tools such as JUnit, React Testing Library, Selenium, or Cucumber.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred: experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Preferred: familiarity with Jenkins, TeamCity, or GitHub Actions.
- Preferred: experience with front-end, backend, and API test automation tools.
- Preferred: knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Preferred: familiarity with accessible and internationalized web applications.
- Preferred: familiarity with AI spec-driven development using Spec Kit.
- Preferred: experience mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership.
- Preferred: dedication to supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives.
