Base Salary
$106k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, document, debug, and enhance software programs and changes.
- Write testable, scalable code and maintain unit, system, integration, and regression tests.
- Use approved AI-assisted development tools for requirements analysis, coding, documentation, code review, test generation, and productivity improvement.
- Analyze programming requests and assist with integration into current applications.
- Research, evaluate, recommend, and implement solutions for assigned projects.
- Conduct technical training for end users.
- Estimate project timelines and complete assigned work within estimates.
- Collaborate with team members, product owners, QA, operations, and release teams on coding standards, sprint commitments, release trains, and production readiness.
- Enable code in hosted environments.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years of experience with a master’s degree.
- Strong practical proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and AI-enabled engineering practices.
- Strong unit and system testing mindset, including test planning, automated test development, regression validation, defect prevention, and production-quality release discipline.
- Ability to collaborate in Agile team environments, communicate technical tradeoffs, participate in code reviews, and support shared delivery ownership.
- Proficiency in Java, REST API, API management, MySQL, Python, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Kafka, and hosted environments including AWS, Azure, and Google.
- Preferred knowledge of optical DWDM and Ruby on Rails.
