Responsibilities
- Share responsibility for the availability, reliability, and efficiency of the company’s complex system architecture.
- Maintain and automate infrastructure running on approximately 70 Hetzner servers.
- Optimize systems based on Ubuntu, Percona MySQL Cluster, MinIO, Elasticsearch, Redis, NGINX, HAProxy, TiDB, ClickHouse, and Kubernetes.
- Improve monitoring strategies and conduct comprehensive failure and root-cause analyses.
- Help prevent recurring incidents and maintain high system availability, including exceptional nighttime response when required.
- Contribute software development in one or more programming languages.
- Apply system automation and IT security knowledge to infrastructure operations.
Requirements
- Several years of experience with one or more programming languages, such as Rust, Java, Go, or TypeScript.
- Good understanding of system automation and IT security.
- Practical experience with some of MySQL, TiDB, Kubernetes, MinIO, and Elasticsearch.
- Negotiable/fluent German and good English communication skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience contributing to open-source technologies is desirable.
