Responsibilities

  • Architect, code, and deploy software integrating mathematical algorithms and machine learning models into Sabre travel platforms.
  • Research, prototype, and scale AI-driven automation and real-time itinerary optimization solutions.
  • Design end-to-end AI systems using large language models for agency support, intent recognition, and conversational commerce.
  • Optimize GDS workflows and migrate legacy automation logic to GCP-based AI architectures.
  • Define strategic AI lifecycle policies and MLOps standards for reliable model performance.
  • Develop Python and Golang systems and turn research prototypes into production-quality, low-latency software.
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, and cross-functional leaders on technical roadmaps and business goals.
  • Advocate for agentic AI and other emerging technologies in mission-critical travel environments.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and engineers.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of related experience in data science, AI engineering, or operations research.
  • Advanced degree, preferably a PhD, in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or physics with a strong research background and innovation record.
  • Experience with software development and moving complex models from research into global production.
  • Expertise in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and natural language processing.
  • Mastery of Python and C++ for computationally intensive and latency-sensitive systems.
  • Strong analytical skills processing high-volume, real-time data from GDS, OTA, and airline sources.
  • Knowledge of GCP, Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, MLOps tools, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with generative AI frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex and RAG-based systems.
  • Ability to lead complex cross-functional projects with minimal direction.
  • Travel-industry experience and knowledge of airline revenue management, airline operations, departure control systems, network planning, or route profitability are desirable.
  • Advanced optimization modeling experience with linear programming, mixed-integer programming, Gurobi, or CPLEX is desirable.
