Base Salary
$179k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions using modern programming languages, databases, containers, orchestration services, and AWS tools.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams by setting standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks in partnership with architects.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, optimize distributed-system performance, and influence long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers, participate in technology communities, and lead cross-functional engineering efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master's degree, 7+ years coding with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, and 3+ years with data engineering and database management systems.
- Preferred: 3+ years with AWS, GCP, Azure, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, or cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred: experience with synchronous and asynchronous APIs, AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, observability, mentoring engineers, technical initiatives, coding standards, and design patterns.
