Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on Mainframe and API testing, including test design, development, automation, and execution.
- Create and enhance automation frameworks and develop automated scripts using industry-standard frameworks.
- Implement functional and non-functional automation for performance, readiness/reliability, accessibility, and security testing.
- Integrate automated tests into continuous integration, delivery, and testing pipelines.
- Develop test strategies, plans, test solution designs, test cases, and reusable automated test data capabilities.
- Collaborate with development teams to define and validate user stories, acceptance criteria, and Definitions of Done and Ready.
- Lead proof-of-concept evaluations of technologies supporting faster, more secure, and effective testing.
- Review test assets for quality, standards compliance, reusability, and maintainability.
- Analyze quality, performance, risk, governance, and process data and implement remediation or improvement actions.
- Mentor and guide team members, share quality engineering practices, and support knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Required hands-on Mainframe testing experience with COBOL, DB2, IMS, and CICS screens.
- API testing experience is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of quality engineering frameworks, testing tools, processes, and procedures.
- Advanced coding, testing, debugging, and automated test script development skills.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of testing and automation techniques such as BDD and machine learning applications.
- Knowledge of TD business systems, banking standards, and quality engineering practices.
