Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on Mainframe and API testing, including test design, development, automation, and execution.
  • Create and enhance automation frameworks and develop automated scripts using industry-standard frameworks.
  • Implement functional and non-functional automation for performance, readiness/reliability, accessibility, and security testing.
  • Integrate automated tests into continuous integration, delivery, and testing pipelines.
  • Develop test strategies, plans, test solution designs, test cases, and reusable automated test data capabilities.
  • Collaborate with development teams to define and validate user stories, acceptance criteria, and Definitions of Done and Ready.
  • Lead proof-of-concept evaluations of technologies supporting faster, more secure, and effective testing.
  • Review test assets for quality, standards compliance, reusability, and maintainability.
  • Analyze quality, performance, risk, governance, and process data and implement remediation or improvement actions.
  • Mentor and guide team members, share quality engineering practices, and support knowledge transfer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Required hands-on Mainframe testing experience with COBOL, DB2, IMS, and CICS screens.
  • API testing experience is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of quality engineering frameworks, testing tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Advanced coding, testing, debugging, and automated test script development skills.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of testing and automation techniques such as BDD and machine learning applications.
  • Knowledge of TD business systems, banking standards, and quality engineering practices.
