Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to design and plan tests.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across web-based applications.
- Manage the complete defect lifecycle, including logging, triage, prioritization, verification, and closure.
- Perform test closure activities such as coverage assessment, exit-criteria evaluation, and test summary reporting.
- Support incident investigation and root-cause analysis with development and product teams.
- Participate in refinement, planning, release, and other SDLC activities to identify quality risks early.
- Collaborate with automation engineers and interpret automated test results.
- Maintain test traceability and documentation suitable for a regulated software environment.
Requirements
- Approximately 5 years of software testing experience.
- Experience with the full test lifecycle from analysis through closure and a strong understanding of the end-to-end SDLC.
- Hands-on experience with defect management, incident handling, and analysis.
- Practical exposure to test automation and understanding of its role in an overall test strategy.
- Experience testing web applications, including browser testing, API testing, and browser developer tools.
- Proficiency with test and defect management processes.
- Strong analytical, communication, attention-to-detail, ownership, adaptability, and quality-advocacy skills.
- Experience in a regulated domain such as medical devices, GLP, ISO 13485, or IEC 62304 is advantageous.
- Exposure to Playwright or another modern automation framework is advantageous.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test integration into release workflows is advantageous.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is advantageous.
