Responsibilities

Develop and execute system-level integration test procedures based on documented software requirements and document test outcomes.
Analyze production code for gray-box validation, integration troubleshooting, and test procedure development.
Identify, reproduce, document, and retest integration defects using logs, traces, and diagnostic data.
Develop and execute automated Python regression tests and determine whether failures arise from software, the environment, or automation.
Develop utilities, scripts, and integration support tools for testing, automation, and diagnostics.
Install, configure, load, and integrate subsystem software builds into laboratory equipment suites using hardware, simulators, and networked systems.
Maintain laboratory system operability and equipment readiness while providing hands-on technical support.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate laboratory resources for integration and test activities.
Collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and integration teams in a configuration-controlled environment.
Support integration events and testing outside standard business hours as required.

U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance or other required authorization.
Ability to work on-site in laboratory environments and support testing outside standard business hours.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
2–4 years of experience in software integration, system test, or software engineering in a structured, configuration-controlled environment.
Experience executing system-level test procedures derived from documented requirements.
Experience troubleshooting distributed software systems in Linux/Unix environments.
Ability to read and analyze production code written in C/C++, Java, or similar languages.
Proficiency in Python or a comparable scripting language.
Experience analyzing logs, traces, and diagnostic data for root-cause analysis.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred experience with distributed or system-of-systems architectures, pub/sub messaging, automated test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, build and test environments, version control, artifact management, issue and requirements tracking tools, performance analysis, and relevant testing, cybersecurity, or software development certifications.
