Base Salary
$127k - $141k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain frontend components and user interfaces across Compass’s transaction Forms and eSign products.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code and comprehensive tests using tools such as Cypress and Jest.
- Improve operational metrics and monitoring and participate in on-call rotations to support platform reliability.
- Deliver small to mid-sized components independently and collaborate with senior engineers on complex technical designs.
- Become a subject matter expert for assigned internal components or tools and support peers.
- Participate in code reviews, planning, design discussions, and cross-functional collaboration with product and design teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–4 years of software engineering experience developing well-tested, high-performance applications.
- At least two years of experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React, and Node.js.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and implementation trade-offs.
- Strong attention to user interface design and product usability.
- Dedication to software testing best practices and collaborative, independent execution.
- Practical experience or strong interest in AI-assisted development tools such as ClaudeCode or GitHub Copilot.
- Backend programming experience with Java, Golang, or Python is preferred.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud technologies, Kafka or event-driven systems, and modern CI/CD tooling is preferred.

- Base pay range is $126,990–$141,100 annually, with potential bonuses and restricted stock units.
