Responsibilities
- Lead management of internally developed and commercial tax applications while ensuring business alignment, compliance, and security.
- Drive automation and continuous improvement, including the introduction of AI/ML and LLM capabilities into workflows.
- Support the full application lifecycle through runbooks, disaster recovery, business continuity planning, performance monitoring, and post-production support.
- Resolve complex issues involving application enhancements, batch processes, data feeds, and system integrations.
- Own and support tax platforms including Tax Credit Management Systems, Vertex, VantagePoint, Collection Tax Management Systems, and Premium Pro.
- Partner with AMS and cross-functional teams to deliver tax technology initiatives and lead application development and support teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in application management, ideally within tax or financial services environments.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Angular, SQL, and MuleSoft/API Gateway platforms.
- Experience leading application development and support teams and communicating with technical and business audiences.
- Familiarity with cloud environments, mainframe systems, integration technologies, information security, and data privacy frameworks.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, financial services or FinTech experience, AI/ML platform exposure, Salesforce tax calculation integrations, SailPoint, Centrify, CyberArk, Okta, vendor experience with PwC, Ernst & Young, or Vertex, SOX and non-SOX controls, and tax credit, sales tax, or income tax experience.
