Responsibilities
- Own, build, maintain, and scale globally distributed streaming services and their support tools.
- Develop backend services and automation for high-throughput, low-latency, scalable data routing and replication.
- Participate in architectural decisions and improve team processes.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and build stability and reliability into services.
- Use innovation time to develop and implement creative technical ideas.
Requirements
- Experience developing backend services using Flink, Kafka, or other streaming platforms; large-scale experience is a plus.
- Experience writing software in Java and adapting to different languages and frameworks.
- Production experience with distributed systems, concurrency, and scaling.
- Comfort delivering production code regularly in a fast-paced environment using Agile techniques, tools, and methodologies.
- Collaborative work style with shared decision-making and code ownership.
- Proficiency in English.
