Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and scale backend services and supporting tools.
- Develop services that ingest large volumes of data, analyze spans and traces, and publish results downstream.
- Test and integrate AI agents and AI-powered workflows into code generation, testing, architecture planning, code reviews, and production troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with product and related engineering teams on specifications and product roadmap direction.
- Create automation and deployment tooling to improve scalability and operability.
- Build and maintain team-owned software while participating in on-call rotations.
- Evaluate emerging AI agent capabilities and help drive team-wide workflow adoption.
Requirements
- Experience with distributed systems, concurrency, and production scaling.
- Strong experience writing software in object-oriented languages, with Java required, and comfort adapting to different languages and frameworks.
- Familiarity with asynchronous programming techniques including streams, event-based flows, task queues, and message queues.
- Hands-on experience using and integrating modern AI coding assistants and AI agents in engineering workflows.
- Experience delivering high-quality production code in a fast-paced environment using Agile methodologies.
- Collaborative working style focused on shared decision-making and code ownership.
- Adaptability and a proactive approach to evolving software tools and engineering practices.
- Proficiency in English.
- Bonus: experience evaluating, benchmarking, or developing agentic AI tools, prompt workflows, or developer automation scripts.
