Base Salary

$120k - $203k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across multiple large-scale business applications with architects and product managers.
  • Design, develop, enhance, modernize, and support enterprise-grade applications and services.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability.
  • Improve application-development, support, and operational processes and promote software-development best practices.
  • Manage application-development initiatives to meet functionality, quality, timeliness, and cost expectations.
  • Collaborate with technology partners to maintain reliable, secure, and efficient operations.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technology solutions.
  • Mentor and develop technical talent.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field plus at least 5 years of hands-on software-development experience, or a relevant master’s degree plus at least 3 years of experience.
  • At least 3 or 5 years of hands-on software-development experience, depending on the qualifying degree, in a large-scale, high-performance financial-services application environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE application development.
  • Experience with cloud-computing platforms, Apache Tomcat, and/or Red Hat Linux.
  • Strong experience developing and integrating REST/SOAP web services and JMS-based messaging solutions.
  • Extensive experience with Oracle databases, including PL/SQL, stored procedures, and/or Oracle Exadata.
  • Hands-on experience with React JS and/or Google Web Toolkit.
  • Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise applications in distributed environments.
  • Understanding of software-development life cycle, Agile methodologies, application-support processes, and DevOps practices.
