
Senior Specialist, Full-Stack Engineer

Responsibilities
- Write production-quality full-stack code with a primary focus on Java/Spring Boot services and modern web UI development.
- Build and maintain APIs, backend services, workflow components, and user-facing features supporting OTC derivatives valuation processing.
- Develop integrations with internal systems and external pricing providers using reliable service interfaces and error-handling patterns.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and senior engineers to translate requirements into clean, testable implementations.
- Participate in coding, debugging, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and daily delivery activities.
- Troubleshoot defects and resolve issues across UI, service, integration, and data layers.
- Improve code quality, performance, maintainability, and developer efficiency through refactoring and sound engineering practices.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools such as Windsurf and Claude where appropriate.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment readiness, and production support.
- Apply domain knowledge of derivatives, valuation workflows, and middle-office processes to software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–6 years of hands-on software development experience with a strong emphasis on building and supporting applications directly.
- Strong Java coding skills and experience with Spring and Spring Boot in enterprise application development.
- Experience developing APIs, microservices, and service-based integrations.
- Hands-on front-end development experience with React, Angular, or comparable modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Ability to work across UI, backend, integration, and data-access layers.
- Experience with SQL, relational databases, and application data modeling concepts.
- Familiarity with event-driven design, distributed systems concepts, and secure and resilient service development practices.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, containerization, and modern software delivery practices.
- Ability to diagnose technical issues, work through ambiguity, and deliver practical solutions with limited oversight.
- Experience in financial services, capital markets, or workflow-intensive enterprise systems is helpful but not required.
- Interest in learning derivatives data and valuation workflows for middle-office technology solutions.
