Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and evolve scalable automated testing frameworks for front-end and back-end components.
- Build test software, reporting solutions, and testing infrastructure that supports testing at scale.
- Transform manual test coverage into maintainable, high-value automated test suites.
- Test APIs, integrations, JSON/XML payloads, databases, CRM/ERP systems, and third-party platforms.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Selenium Grid, and Docker.
- Influence product design and improve testability as an embedded Quality Engineer throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, leadership, DevOps, and distributed teams across time zones.
- Use AI tools to improve test generation, code quality, analysis, and productivity.
- Read vendor API documentation and independently navigate complex integration environments.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in Test with hands-on experience building scalable automation frameworks.
- Strong experience with modern testing tools and frameworks such as Node.js, Angular, WebdriverIO, Jasmine, Mocha, Selenium, or PyTest.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or comparable programming languages, with the ability to write production-quality test code.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and influencing quality, design, and testability throughout the software lifecycle.
- Exposure to iPaaS, SaaS, or other cloud-based platforms, including distributed systems and integrations.
- Hands-on experience testing REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML payloads, relational databases, CRM/ERP systems, and third-party platforms.
- Experience with Postman, Jenkins, Docker, VirtualBox or Hyper-V, npm or yarn, JMeter, JIRA, GitHub, and related toolchains.
- Experience leveraging AI tools for test generation, code quality, analysis, or productivity.
- Ability to interpret vendor API documentation and navigate complex integration landscapes.
- Strong communication, ownership, collaboration, and risk-articulation skills, including experience with distributed teams.
- Willingness to flex working hours for cross-time-zone collaboration and critical releases.
