Senior Principal Engineer
AlphaSenseResponsibilities
- Define and drive technical strategy and frontend architecture standards across the web, mobile, and headless Applications Portfolio.
- Mentor and coach senior engineering talent while promoting technical excellence and high-impact decision-making.
- Partner with Product leadership to align engineering strategy, roadmaps, customer needs, and product evolution.
- Facilitate alignment across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines for complex multi-team projects.
- Lead the transition from a feature-factory model to a platform-driven application architecture.
- Modernize API layers and integrate standards such as the Model Context Protocol to enable agentic workflows.
- Partner with Design Systems teams on shared UI components and design tokens.
- Identify and reduce systemic technical risks through technical governance, reviews, and hands-on prototyping.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience as a senior or principal-level software engineer with deep frontend architecture and large-scale application systems expertise.
- Proven success leading technology transformation across organizations of 80+ engineers.
- Deep understanding of REST and GraphQL API design in highly distributed, agentic environments.
- Demonstrated experience with the Model Context Protocol or similar agent-integration patterns.
- Proven ability to collaborate with Product leaders to solve complex customer problems with a strong product mindset.
- Ability to balance high-level architectural strategy with hands-on, production-level coding.
- Extensive experience evaluating and adopting frontend technologies and frameworks while balancing innovation and maintainability.
- Proven experience designing and scaling robust frontend architectures for high-traffic interfaces and massive datasets.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to facilitate clarity and consensus across distributed teams.
