Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of complex software features and components.
- Design scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions aligned with product and architectural goals.
- Own significant functional areas and ensure their long-term quality and maintainability.
- Review code, establish coding standards, and promote engineering best practices.
- Mentor developers through coaching, pair programming, and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Tech Leads, QA, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead technical investigations, proof-of-concepts, and evaluations of technologies and tools.
- Drive improvements to software architecture, development processes, pipelines, testing, and automation.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Contribute to technical roadmap planning and architectural discussions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and improve estimation and delivery practices.
- Expand technical expertise and share knowledge across the team.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Strong experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring, and Hibernate.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks such as Angular or jQuery.
- Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Git, SVN, or other version control systems.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and enterprise application design.
- Experience mentoring developers and conducting constructive code reviews.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to influence technical decisions and collaborate across teams.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Java certifications are a preferred qualification.
- Experience with Struts Framework, MongoDB, Lucene, Docker, and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Experience improving development processes is preferred.
